Academic Interest

My research focuses on analyzing climate change and its impact on society, using advanced techniques in geosciences, artificial intelligence (AI), deep learning (DL) and statistics. I focus on wetland ecology and management, emphasizing the critical role of wetlands in climate change resilience and ecosystem sustainability. My studies also extend to geomorphology, hydrology and hydrogeology, examining how these earth systems interact under changing climatic conditions and the impact this has on environmental and societal stability. Through the use of AI and DL, I improve environmental impact assessments and natural resource monitoring with the aim of predicting, assessing and mitigating the risks associated with climate change. This comprehensive approach enables me to make an important contribution to understanding and managing the impacts of climate change.
